I picked up a book about digital art and after sifting through it a bit I had some inspiration to try new techniques and hopefully evolve my artwork into something new. I plan to somewhat use my own art skills in the games that I make even before I am part of a studio. This means there is a possibility I do the artwork for an entire game and I want to be able to have flexibility.
This image itself is a bit of a test run using the marker tool in SAI with the Watercolor tool and pencil tool. I am attempting to generate form with lighting and shading so there will most likely never be color in this image.
I am looking for some critique! I want to know if there is something I am missing when it comes to the lighting or the background. I don’t know how to make a lot of things look the way they should especially since my style has remained an anime style for a long time. I am attempting to make it more Fantasy or conceptual looking and I also feel like I am improving on that as well.

My friend is trying to develop his own tabletop to be used with players new to RPG’s and table top games in general.
I decided to help him test it a little bit in our group and this is my character I made for the campaign. In his world it is known as a Gru which normally is a shapeless blob with little recollection of who they were. Instead the gru are a composition of spirits that have some how formed into one, so the gru understands and knows a lot of what their past connections know.
The gru have the ability to take different shapes such as a humanoid but it requires a lot of concentration. The other races helped them out and gave them “dolls” which allow them to control pieces and parts and thus being more humanoid-like. This still drains them and they must rest like normal creatures.

My submission for the Rift Colossus contest. While it isn’t as “digitally painted” as I would like to do I feel it is a great piece!
There are some really great ideas in the contest though so I don’t know where I stand, check it out by following the source link.

Casual Iorianne~ Well the start clothing is kinda skimpy, but this is actually less so than some of the others I have seen. Still cute non the less.

I just finished the first season of Hell girl, it was a spectacular anime with a lot of deep thought put into the story. Here is a little tribute from me to the anime!

Had a going away party for a friend the other day and this led to some Dance Central with Kinect. The first song played was Poker Face and it reminded my how much I like lady gaga’s music. Something to do with her chorus in her music that I like a lot.

I wanted to share this awesome artwork of Minecraft.
I know many miners have witnessed this all too familiar scene. Wishing to stab the creep through the door, but knowing it would open the door to danger…and that sound. That ssSound.
